Martina: Angled Light
Leather, travertine, amber lenses and hard shadow lines

Martina: Angled Light Eight frames built from travertine and hard afternoon sun. One location, relentlessly angled — the architecture doing half the work, throwing diagonal shadows that she stepped in and out of like marks on a stage. The session felt direct, almost confrontational. A stillness held against rough surfaces while the light moved. Harsh sunlight bleeds across layered stone, then softens to pale washes where the wall curves away. The series shifts between cool monochrome and the warmth of amber lenses. Profile after profile, the repetition becomes the point — each turn of the head catches a different edge, a different shadow. One frame breaks away to concrete steps and metal, hood drawn up, a shift in register. A study in restraint. The subtle language of posture against geometry.
