The light shifted constantly, moving from the bright, clear blue sky to the deep, warm tones of the historic brick and stucco. The series moves through contrasting spaces: the open expanse of the canal, the intimacy of covered archways, and the grandeur of open stone steps. Anna owns every frame. Her presence grounds the architecture, whether she is framed by a vibrant orange-red palazzo, standing on wooden piers, or leaning against dark wooden railings. The strong contrast between her dark attire and the bright, saturated colors of the city—the deep reds, the vibrant greens, the brilliant blues—gives the portraits a powerful, cinematic edge. A study in structure and stillness.
